Akanksha Udavant, Personal Stylist in Pune with StyleBuddy

My name is Akanksha Udavant, and I am a fashion designer and stylist currently based in Pune, with three years of formal training in styling at the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT). During my academic journey, I have developed a strong foundation in fashion styling through continuous coursework, practical assignments, and live projects that focused on concept development, visual storytelling, and character-based styling.

I have actively participated in college fashion shows, where I worked on look development, garment coordination, and backstage styling, gaining first-hand experience in managing time-sensitive creative environments. Alongside this, I have been involved in various academic projects that required in-depth research, mood board creation, styling execution, and presentation, allowing me to explore diverse themes and aesthetics.

My training has included the study of fashion styling across different eras, enabling me to understand historical silhouettes, cultural influences, and the evolution of fashion, which I apply while creating both contemporary and period-inspired looks. In addition to academic work, I have also undertaken freelance styling assignments, where I collaborated with photographers, designers, and creatives, adapting to different briefs and working styles.

I possess strong practical knowledge of multiple draping techniques and garment stitching, which helps me approach styling with a technical understanding of fit, structure, and fabric behavior. This blend of creative vision and technical skill allows me to style garments effectively while making necessary on-set or fitting adjustments.
