At StyleBuddy, we believe getting dressed should feel like self-expression, not another decision you have to struggle through. Some days you need a fresh office look. Some days you are planning three wedding events, reviving an overstuffed wardrobe or wondering whether an online purchase will look the way you imagined. We built StyleBuddy to connect those moments: Maya, our AI stylist; personalised outfit discovery; photo-based outfit previews; fashion-brand exploration; and real professional stylists when you want more hands-on help.
The quick answer: StyleBuddy is an Indian fashion and personal-styling platform that brings AI styling guidance and human styling services into one experience. You can explore our iPhone and Android app, chat with Maya, discover fashion brands and book a styling service. Our app is free to download; professional services and certain app experiences may carry separate charges.
Start with the real question: what do you want to wear?
A useful styling experience starts with context rather than an endless product feed. Tell us whether you're dressing for an interview, a Tuesday office meeting, a cousin's sangeet, a holiday or a casual dinner. Mention what you already own, the colours you enjoy, what feels comfortable and how much you're willing to spend. These details give styling advice a purpose.
Our experience connects four things that are often treated as separate decisions: inspiration (what might look good), personalisation (what suits your preferences and plans), visualisation (what a selected look could look like on you) and action (saving an idea, exploring pieces or getting help from a stylist). You can begin at whichever point matters today.
Meet Maya, your AI fashion stylist
Maya is our conversational AI stylist. Ask a question in everyday language instead of trying to guess the perfect fashion keyword. For example:
- “I have a navy kurta and tan sandals. How can I make this work for a relaxed office?”
- “Plan three outfits for an Indian destination wedding: haldi, sangeet and reception.”
- “I want a smart-casual look for men using chinos, one shirt and a light layer.”
- “I love muted colours. What could I wear to a daytime event in hot weather?”
- “Help me build a capsule wardrobe without buying duplicates.”
- “I have a ₹5,000 outfit budget. What should I prioritise first?”
These are questions to try, not scripted outputs. Keep refining the brief: tell Maya that you prefer flat shoes, don't wear sleeveless tops, already own the jacket or need a more traditional version. You can also ask why a combination works. Our goal is to make outfit decisions easier to understand, not just hand you a look to copy.
Can you chat with Maya for free? You can start from the StyleBuddy experience, and our mobile app is free to download. Feature access, sign-in requirements, chat allowances and any credits are governed by the terms visible when you use them. We do not present a free download as a promise of unlimited free AI features. Available language controls can also vary by version; check Maya's current language selector for the options you can use.
Build your style profile, then change it whenever you like
Our StyleBuddy app lets you share style preferences, favourite colours, body information, lifestyle and the occasions you dress for. Those details help make suggestions more relevant. They are inputs, not rules: no profile, body-shape label or colour season should dictate which clothes you are allowed to enjoy.
Start with your most common situations and a few honest preferences. Perhaps your week includes business-casual workdays, weekend family gatherings and occasional festive events. Perhaps you prefer longer sleeves and low-maintenance fabrics. As your lifestyle changes, revisit your preferences rather than treating the first setup as permanent.
For colour guidance, we look at harmonies between skin tone, undertone, contrast and the colours you already feel good wearing. If you're exploring AI-assisted skin-tone recommendations, use the result as a starting palette and check it in daylight. For a more detailed, personal evaluation, our professional colour-analysis service provides a separate human-led option.
See a selected outfit on yourself with Style This on Me
A picture of a garment is helpful; picturing yourself in a look can be even more useful. Our app's Style This on Me experience lets you use a photo to explore how selected looks might appear on you. Try an unfamiliar colour, compare a more relaxed outfit with a dressier version or experiment with an occasion look before deciding what you want to shop for.
A visual preview is not a garment measurement or a fitting-room guarantee. Generated imagery may approximate drape, texture, embroidery, proportions or accessories. Before buying anything, confirm the seller's size chart, real product photographs, fabric description and returns information. This is particularly important with heavily embroidered Indianwear, structured tailoring and saree drapes.
For information about photo processing, saved results and account controls, see our app guide and privacy policy. Different features may process and retain different information; we don't apply a feature-specific photo promise to every account image automatically.
Indian fashion is not one dress code
We created StyleBuddy for the way people actually dress: kurtas with sneakers, silk sarees with traditional jewellery, wide-leg trousers with shirts, relaxed co-ords, occasion lehengas, sherwanis, jackets and modern workwear. A helpful stylist should understand both the outfit and the setting. You can use Maya for Indian occasion inspiration, then move into Shop by Brand or Shop All to discover available pieces.
What to wear to a three-day Indian wedding
Haldi: Put comfort first. Consider breathable cotton or lightweight blends, an easy kurta set, a playful lehenga or a relaxed coordinated outfit. Yellow is popular but not compulsory unless the hosts specify it. Keep jewellery and footwear practical for movement, photos and possible colour stains.
Sangeet: Choose something you can dance in. A lehenga with a secure blouse, a draped saree, a fluid sharara, a tailored bandhgala or an Indo-Western set can work. Test footwear at home, keep accessories manageable and plan a layer if the venue is cool.
Reception: Aim for polish that matches the venue: a silk or contemporary saree, structured suit set, refined dress, tailored tuxedo, classic suit or elegant sherwani. Balance one statement item with quieter supporting pieces.
For grooms: There is plenty beyond the sherwani. Explore bandhgala jackets, achkans, tailored suits, textured waistcoats and regional traditionalwear. Fit, fabric, temperature and the family's dress expectations matter more than a single trend. Ask for coordinated looks that complement—but don't need to match exactly—your partner's outfit.
For NRIs planning wedding shopping from abroad: Begin with ceremony-wise requirements and measurements, build a visual shortlist, ask about alteration timelines and shipping, then schedule in-person fittings when travel allows. Our wedding-shopping and styling service can help organise the brief, but boutique appointments, sourcing and local stylist availability should be confirmed when booking.

Where to explore bridal shopping in Delhi and Mumbai
If you're starting a bridal-shopping itinerary, Chandni Chowk and Shahpur Jat in Delhi offer very different shopping experiences, while Bandra, Juhu and designer boutiques across Mumbai may be useful depending on the labels and budgets you want to explore. These are starting points, not a promise that a specific store will have a particular outfit in stock. Our personal shoppers can help build a targeted route and shortlist where service availability permits. Bring reference looks, measurements, a realistic budget and enough time for adjustments.
Sarees, ethnicwear and Chikankari
Saree styling involves more than choosing a colour: blouse construction, drape, petticoat, footwear and jewellery all change the final effect. For ethnicwear, we help explore silhouettes and accessories around the occasion and the wearer's comfort. We also list a dedicated Chikankari styling offering within our services. If you want sourcing or hand-embroidery guidance, share the fabric, desired craftsmanship and occasion details during your enquiry.
Make your everyday wardrobe work harder
The most useful wardrobe isn't necessarily the biggest one. It's the wardrobe that supports your real life. A simple capsule might begin with two versatile trousers, one well-fitting jean, a skirt or additional bottom you actually wear, four mixable tops, one lightweight layer, one occasion-ready piece and two dependable footwear options. Adjust everything for your climate, dress code, cultural preferences and laundry routine. For Indian wardrobes, a versatile kurta set or dupatta can be as useful as a blazer.
To fix the “closet full of clothes, nothing to wear” feeling, try this order: photograph what you wear most, group outfits by real-life occasion, identify pieces that don't coordinate, build five complete looks from what you have and only then write a shopping list. Ask Maya for new combinations, or use our virtual wardrobe audit for hands-on guidance with decluttering and outfit building.
Officewear and business casual in India
For a smart-casual office, start with clean fit and intentional combinations: tailored trousers with a knit polo, chinos with a relaxed shirt, a cotton kurta with straight trousers, or a midi skirt with a simple blouse. In a conservative corporate setting, add structure through a blazer or polished jacket. In warmer weather, prioritise breathable fabrics and shoes you can actually commute in.
Business casual isn't one fixed uniform for men or women. It generally means comfortable, neat pieces that are less formal than a full suit but still appropriate to the workplace. Check your actual office culture, not a generic trend image. Our workwear styling service can help align the wardrobe with interviews, client meetings, business travel and on-camera work.

When you need a human stylist, we're here too
StyleBuddy combines AI-supported inspiration with separately bookable professional personal styling. Maya is useful when you want to brainstorm; a person can spend time discussing fit, assessing your real wardrobe, helping with store visits and planning a high-stakes event. Neither service should be mistaken for the other.
Our styling-services directory includes personal consultations, personal shopping, wardrobe makeovers, virtual wardrobe audits, colour analysis, image consulting, workwear styling, wedding styling, ethnicwear styling and more. Here are indicative starting prices from the services listed on our site; final quotes, taxes, session length and availability are confirmed during booking:
- Personal styling consultation: around ₹5,000 for an approximately two-hour service; the directory also displays ₹4,999.
- Virtual wardrobe audit: around ₹5,000 for an approximately two-hour session.
- Personal shopping: around ₹10,000 for an approximately four-hour service.
- In-home wardrobe makeover: around ₹15,000 for an approximately eight-hour programme.
- Wedding shopping and styling: listed from about ₹15,000, with scope depending on the event and shopping plan.
- Colour analysis: currently listed from ₹4,999.
- Image consulting: currently listed from ₹7,999.
These are different services, not one interchangeable subscription. A short style-clarity consultation is not the same as an eight-hour wardrobe overhaul, and an app visualisation does not include a human shopping appointment. Check the specific package page and confirm any GST or add-on charges before payment.
Is hiring a stylist worth it?
It can be useful when you have a concrete problem: a career change, a repeat pattern of poor purchases, a closet that no longer fits your life or an event where time and confidence matter. Before booking, ask who will style you, what the session includes, what deliverables you'll receive, whether shopping and alterations cost extra, what happens after the session and what cancellation terms apply. If you're unsure, begin with a smaller consultation rather than the most extensive package.
Can you book StyleBuddy in your city—or from abroad?
Our site includes styling and stylist-profile pages for Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru, Pune, Hyderabad, Chennai, Kolkata and other locations. We also offer services that can be delivered online. Matching to a particular local stylist or in-person appointment depends on actual availability. If you're in a specific neighbourhood—such as Koramangala, Indiranagar, Bandra or elsewhere—share it when enquiring rather than assuming every suburb has an immediate appointment.
If you live in Dubai or another city outside India, ask about a remote consultation first; local, in-person support is confirmed case by case. You can also view named profiles—for example, our Pune stylist Sakshi Bhusari—before asking the team whether the stylist is currently taking the type of assignment you need.
Discover brands and make fashion more playful
Through Shop by Brand and Shop All, you can explore participating labels across everyday clothing, formalwear, wedding outfits, festive pieces, streetwear, sportswear and more. Start with a category or an aesthetic rather than a specific product name. Check each participating brand's live catalogue, price, stock, fulfilment and return terms before purchasing.
Our Style Challenges add another dimension: when a challenge is active, you can interpret its theme, create a look and submit it according to its rules. Some challenges may offer StyleCoins, badges or other eligible rewards; availability and rewards depend on the currently published challenge. If the page shows no open challenges, there is no open event to enter at that moment.
You may encounter older StyleBuddy content that uses the StyleNow name. Our current consumer app and styling experience are presented as StyleBuddy; the old app identifier or a historical article title isn't a guarantee that every older account, feature or offer works in the same way today.
Frequently asked questions about StyleBuddy
1. What is StyleBuddy, and is it an AI stylist or a human-styling service?
We're both: our platform offers Maya and AI-supported look discovery, plus separately bookable human consultations, personal shopping and wardrobe services.
2. Is StyleBuddy one of the AI stylist apps people can consider in India?
Yes. If you're exploring AI styling, our app combines profile-based outfit inspiration, Maya, visual previews for selected looks and access to human stylists. Choose based on the features you need—not an unverified “top ten” position.
3. Is there a free AI fashion stylist I can chat with?
Our app is free to download and Maya is available through StyleBuddy. Check the current chat access rules, account requirements and feature allowances before assuming unlimited use.
4. Can I ask Maya for an outfit based on my body profile and an occasion?
Yes. Share your preferences, body information where relevant, dress code, setting and comfort needs. Use recommendations as suggestions, never restrictions on what you can wear.
5. Does Maya suggest clothes from Indian fashion brands?
You can explore brand and product discovery through our shopping sections and use Maya to help define the look you want. Availability of a specific brand, item or styling flow depends on the live catalogue.
6. Do we have an AI wardrobe organiser or an outfit generator?
Our app supports style-profile-led outfit inspiration and saved-look experiences. For a detailed audit of the garments you physically own, book our virtual or in-home wardrobe service rather than assuming automatic inventory of every item in your closet.
7. Can StyleBuddy help identify my colours or body shape?
We offer style-profile inputs and colour-led outfit guidance, plus professional colour analysis. Lighting and photo quality affect digital colour impressions; a human consultation can provide more personalised context.
8. Does Style This on Me give an exact fitting prediction?
No. It's a photo-based visualisation of selected outfits, not a measurement or guarantee of how a garment will fit.
9. Does StyleBuddy work for men?
Yes. Ask for office outfits, smart-casual basics, groom styling, traditionalwear, travel wardrobes or a men's personal styling consultation.
10. Can I get help with a saree, lehenga or Chikankari outfit?
Yes. We cover Indian occasionwear through styling inspiration and dedicated human services, including ethnicwear and Chikankari styling enquiries.
11. What should I wear to an Indian wedding as a guest?
Plan separately for ceremony, dress expectations, weather and movement. Start with an easy daytime outfit for haldi, a dance-friendly look for sangeet and a more polished option for the main event or reception.
12. Can a bride or NRI organise lehenga shopping from abroad?
We can help plan a styling brief and discuss remote support; confirm local appointments, sourcing, fitting and alterations with the team before committing to a timetable.
13. What about groom styling beyond the sherwani?
Explore bandhgala jackets, achkans, suits, waistcoats, regional traditionalwear and fabric choices tailored to venue and climate.
14. Do you offer online styling and in-store personal shopping?
Yes. Our services include remote consultations and selected in-person experiences; specific city, stylist and session availability must be confirmed at booking.
15. How much does a personal stylist cost through StyleBuddy?
Our directory displays consultations from approximately ₹4,999–₹5,000, depending on the package presentation. Confirm the final scope and checkout price before paying.
16. How much is a wardrobe makeover or virtual wardrobe audit?
Our listed starting figures are approximately ₹15,000 for an in-home makeover and ₹5,000 for a virtual wardrobe audit. These cover different levels of service.
17. Do you have stylists in Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Pune, Hyderabad, Chennai or Kolkata?
We maintain service or stylist listings across these cities and others. Use the current city page or enquire to confirm a match for your date and service.
18. Is there a stylist in Koramangala, Indiranagar or my neighbourhood?
Please share your locality and preferred appointment time. A city listing doesn't mean every neighbourhood has an immediately bookable in-person appointment.
19. Can you help with bridal shopping in Delhi or Mumbai?
Our wedding and personal-shopping services can help organise shortlists and a shopping brief. Tell us your budget, ceremony schedule, sizing and target shopping locations when you enquire.
20. Can I book a personal stylist in Dubai?
Ask us about an online appointment from Dubai or another international location. Local in-person availability is assessed separately.
21. Can I find an individual StyleBuddy stylist by name?
Yes. We publish stylist profiles, including Sakshi Bhusari in Pune; current availability and booking terms should be checked directly.
22. Do you offer image consulting for working professionals?
Yes. Our image-consulting service is currently listed from ₹7,999 and can be considered alongside workwear and communication-focused services.
23. What colours suit Indian skin tones?
There is no single palette for every Indian complexion. Undertone, depth, contrast, lighting and personal taste all matter. Start with the colours you enjoy and refine with our guidance or a consultation.
24. What is business casual for men and women in India?
Think clean, coordinated pieces appropriate to your workplace: tailored trousers, well-fitting shirts, smart knits, kurtas, modest dresses or structured layers, adjusted for climate and company dress code.
25. How do I build a capsule wardrobe or refresh a cluttered closet?
Build complete looks from what you already wear, identify gaps by occasion and buy only what will add useful combinations. Our virtual wardrobe audit can guide the process.
26. Is hiring a personal stylist worth the money?
It's most useful when there's a defined problem and a clear deliverable. Start by comparing the session scope, time, follow-up and costs to your actual needs.
27. What should I ask before hiring a stylist?
Ask about your assigned stylist, specialism, deliverables, duration, exclusions, expenses, revisions, cancellation policy and availability.
28. Does StyleBuddy offer a personal-style quiz?
Our app includes style-profile inputs to help you communicate preferences and occasions. Use the current app experience to see the exact available onboarding questions.
29. Can I chat with an AI stylist at any time?
AI chat can offer flexible access, but we don't promise an uninterrupted 24/7 service level or unlimited messages unless it is stated in the current product terms.
30. Are Style Challenges and StyleCoins available?
We have a Style Challenges experience, and selected active events may offer rewards under their own rules. Check the page for open challenges and eligibility.
31. Can I trust StyleBuddy reviews and ratings?
Read recent, attributable reviews and consider which service they describe. We recommend confirming relevant feedback for your particular city or stylist; we don't promise a uniform review score for every offering.
32. How do I decide between different styling-service approaches?
Choose us for the combination that suits you: AI-led exploration, a focused human consultation, a virtual wardrobe audit, an in-home makeover or assisted shopping. We explain the scope so you can select the right level of support.
33. Who founded StyleBuddy?
Siddharth Pandit founded StyleBuddy. You can meet our wider styling and leadership team on the About Us page.
Your next look begins here
You don't need to overhaul your personality or buy an entirely new wardrobe to feel more put together. Start with one useful question. Ask Maya, explore the StyleBuddy app, browse participating brands or book a personal stylist. We'll help you turn a style idea into something practical, personal and unmistakably yours.
